In the year 2000, Hangxiao Steel Structure embarked on a groundbreaking journey to break the international technical monopoly in the steel industry. In partnership with Zhejiang University and Tongji University, we pioneered under the unique conditions of 'no precedent and no standard.' Our focus was directed towards researching 'a complete set of rectangular CFST structures.' This innovative approach led to the creation of CFST structures acclaimed for their superior applicability, economical benefits, and enhanced fire resistance compared to traditional pure steel structures. The inaugural high-rise building employing this rectangular CFST structure was the Ruifeng International Commercial Building, a landmark project recognized as part of the China Torch Program. This revolutionary breakthrough not only transformed the conventional reinforced concrete construction methods but also addressed the crucial challenge of enhancing the fire resistance of steel structures. Our project is renowned for its outstanding seismic and fire-resistant capabilities. With its successful completion, Hangxiao Steel Structure has solidified its technical preeminence in the domain of high-rise steel structures, establishing a distinctive technical framework enriched with Hangxiao Steel Structure's unique characteristics. This initiative has been a catalyst in spearheading the evolution of high-rise steel structure buildings across China.
