Partnering in a groundbreaking industry-university-research cooperation with prestigious institutions Zhejiang University and Tongji University, they embarked on a pioneering journey of innovation under conditions of 'no precedent and no standard.' Their efforts culminated in the development of a complete set of rectangular CFST (Concrete-Filled Steel Tube) structures. This avant-garde CFST structure boasts superior applicability, cost-efficiency, and fire resistance compared to traditional pure steel structures. The culmination of their research was the successful completion of the first high-rise edifice featuring the rectangular CFST structure at the Ruifeng International Commercial Building. This monumental project, recognized as a part of the China Torch Program, has revolutionized conventional reinforced concrete construction methods and addressed the perennial challenge of enhancing fire resistance in steel structures.
